A bacterial endotoxin test (BET) is a requirement for any injectable drug or medical device to ensure safety. This can be accomplished by performing a Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) based in vitro endotoxin detection assay such as Pyrochrome®.
This 96 well microplate based kinetic chromogenic assay is accomplished through numerous pipetting steps required for the preparation of the standard curve positive and product controls (PPCs). Placement of the samples and standards, and reagent dispensing in the 96 well plates are tedious steps in the process.
The complexity of these assays would benefit from the simplicity and labor saving benefits of accessible liquid handling methods. In this webinar Robert D’Ordine and Veronika S. Wills of ACC will demonstrate the simplicity and accessibility of the Andrew+ Pipetting Robot working together with OneLab software executing the Pyrochrome® assay.
In this webinar you’ll learn:
• How the Andrew+ and OneLab can be configured to execute the Pyrochrome® kinetic chromogenic assay
• Results of evaluating automation of the Pyrochrome® kinetic chromogenic assay
• Benefits of automating LAL based endotoxin testing methods
